PS3 Controller Charging

Hi,

I've bought a PS3 controller to use with a Raspberry Pi.

The controller pairs nicely with Retropie but I have a question about charging...

I bought an official Sony charger (see below) because I'd read that the controller can be picky about what source is uses for charging.

When I plug the controller in, the four red lights start to flash slowly.

I have read that the red lights should extinguish when the controller is fully-charged, but the lights on my controller flash forever.

Any idea if I've got something wrong?

Many thanks.
