ps3 controller (DS3) dodgy trigger, help!

Right so the trigger (R2) in my ds3 pad has gone a bit dodgy, basically its now half pressed in by default so the slightest of touches on the trigger registers as a button press which is a problem for me as a i rest my fingers on the triggers.

im guessing something is wrong with the spring, anyone know what i can do to fix it? anyone know of some guides online or had experience taking the pads apart?

i cant really take it back to where i got it from as its imported

PS pads are pretty easy to take apart, at least the DS1 & 2 were. Just open it up and see if there's anything obvious wrong.

Like you said, it's imported so you have little to lose further.
