Was using betterds3 and motionjoy drivers (I found off a youtube video) for playing games like nba 2k15. But I realised the motionjoy driver was giving me system thread exception bsod now and again after sleep.
Does anyone know if theres a driver that works with windows 8.1? Or an up to date motionjoy driver that I can be assured works with windows 8.1?
Regards.

bump.

Hm hard to say mate.I'm on windows 7 and sometimes I also get bsod but I never now if is due OC cpu, undervolt gpu or montion joy.
The best solution for you would be buy microsoft controller xbox 360 or One the might even work without montionjoy.

I occasionally get a BSOD, with motionjoy, but it only seems to be when I plug in/unplug the controller from the USB cable - Windows 7 x64, so not much help I'm afraid =/

I have only had 1 BSOD with motionjoy and that was on the installation of the drivers. Been stable since then. Tempted to just buy a XBOX pad and get it over and done with.

Kind of the same issue I was getting. If I disconnected from BetterDS3 and put my computer in sleep mode. I would have a BSOD system thread exception right after it. Checked BlueScreenView to confirm this.
Meh, I probably will by an xbox 360 controller tbh then.
Regards.

I dabbled but ended up getting a wireless 360 and rechargeable battery pack.

Really pleased that I did, despite never using MS pad before and many years with PS pads from PS1 to PS3.

Makes life so much easier not having to set things up and interpret controls and graphical prompts.

If the OP is prepared to spend the money, then I say 'do it!'.

Motionjoy is the worst driver for a PS3 pad, use the SCP driver that dacads posted. Works with any bluetooth and is totally stable, the only downside is it renders your bluetooth useless for other stuff.

Might give it a go then.

Motionjoy also takes exclusive use of the bluetooth adapter I believe.

Check out the xinput wrapper, I've not used motionjoy and betterds3 but people say the xinput wrapper is way better. I haven't had any issues such as BSODs or anything else.

I'll try it.
I'm going to buy Bluetooth Dongle.Any cheap one of bay will do?
Mini USB 2.0 Bluetooth V2.0 EDR Dongle Wireless Adapter
SPECIFICATION:
bluetooth V2.0 compilant
Data transfer up to 3 Mbit/s (max)
What is the most important thing in spec?

I can't comment on that as I'm just using a mini USB cable. I'd assume you get what you pay for so a £1 one might not work properly but haven't tried so can't really say.

Check out the "Racksoy Professional Bluetooth CSR 4.0" seems decent enough maybe someone using bluetooth can recommend one around the same pricde.

In this guide, there is a list of Directly Supported Dongles, but I can't find nothing like that in item description. For example: USB\VID_03F0&PID_231D .
It's probably name of the driver.
