PS3 controller on Vista

Want to install MAME on my HTPC

Have installed my Bluetooth dongle.

What elese do I need to play Mame with my ps3 controller?


I downloaded ps3sixaxis_en.exe

But it won't install on vista...

Is there another version?

any help appreciated.

Try it with USB.

Mine just showed up with no drivers etc.

It shows up under x64, but isn't usable for some completely inexplicable reason.

Ah fairplay, I just tried this and it did show up but I've not tried it in any games

The USB xbox 360 arcade sticks work in windows, if you are going to be playing a lot of mame, a hori stick is about £35 but makes the classics much better than using a pad.

Im not sure if the ps3 hori sticks work, but theres every chance they also do.

The only other thing ive heard PS3 controllers working on is Yellow Dog distribution of Linux. Iirc data isnt even sent down the USB cable, its just for charging.

i use a ps2 pad and converter ,works great on any emulator,but for mame i use x-arcade
