I have been searching around for a PS3 controller and want to know what the best price is.

I dont mind whether its wired/wireless as long as its official (unless you know of a great third party controller)

Thanks

I ended up paying about 27quid for a Dualshock 3, was imported from an asian shop as the exchange rate worked out highly beneficial at the time. Wasnt even posted from Japan came from Croydon lol so didnt have to pay any taxes or anything either, and you can also choose silver and white. Dont think the pound is as strong anymore but maybe worth have a look yes, asia site.

I imported my first DS3 for 20 quid aaaaages ago. The pound being much weaker now, you're likely to be paying a little more.

I bought my second DS3 last weekend on a whim (there were four of us, LittleBigPlanet and only three controllers....) and ended up paying about £26 for it, though that was with a £6 voucher. On the highstreet you'll end up paying up to about £40.

Do you like the PS3 controller or are you one of these weirdo's who prefer the 360 one :p

If you prefer the layout of the 360 pad then you might want to hold off until the new logitech pad comes out in the new year.

I prefer the PS3 controllers. The only ones that I can find are all about £27-£35 ish.

You want a Dual Shock 3 for anything less than £30, won't find much better than that now that the import trade isn't as cheap due to the pound failing.

Do you know if the PS3 controllers open up? As my daughter(18months) decided to pour blackcurrent on my little brother-in-laws controller lol

The buttons are all sticky now.

It's quite easy to crack em open, just need a small Philips screwdriver and a bit of patience. I needed to do it to stick some WD40 on my rather rubbish sixaxis pad as it was squeaking, be aware it voids the warranty however.
