Hi all,

Looking to purchase a second controller for my PS3.

Cheapest i can find (in the UK) is £35 (or in the region of). I've seen an official controller on a well know auction site for £20 inc P&P (brand new), however because its from Hong Kong, i'm just wondering if the controller will work/connect the same as a UK model will, I.E same frequency (or however it connects!).

Many thanks,

Phil

The controllers work the same from any region (Bluetooth is an internationally recognised/implemented standard, and PS3 controllers use this).

Bear in mind the Hong Kong one may take a while to get here, and I have no idea if there are "fakes" available. It seems cheap fakes of most other console accessories or very-close-to-looking-official-3rd-party stuff originates from auctions located in hong kong/china.

In the UK you may find one at £29.99, every now and then, on offer.

I've seen a pair in the UK for £50, which isn't bad really, works out to £25 per controller, saving a tenner but then i've got 3 controllers and would want 4 (3's an odd number!)

If you find a site selling a PS3 controller for ~£25 then it's probably the 'six-axis' and not the 'dual-shock 3' I've even seen these in a shop for about that price. Pretty much identical box.

It will state if its a 'dual-shock 3' or not;).
