PS3 Crunching

Please advise before my head pops......

Is the new PS3 Slim able to participate in any Boinc Projects? (bearing in mind it is now locked out of Linux Installations).

And how effective will it be?

If there are no Boinc Projects I shall set it Folding for Team10 (more or less 24hrs per day).

As I've not owned or seen a PS3 in operation....is it hard to set-up folding?

Apologies for the noob questions, but I have no idea about the PS3.

To get the PS3 folding is very easy, you just need to go into the "life with playstation" application, as soon as your in there it will be folding.

To set up the team and your id is fairly simple:
Green triangle - Current channel - identity

If you were folding on it 24/7 it would be worth changing the mode to advanced, this will mean it then accepts larger WUs.
To change it to advanced mode:
Green triangle - Current channel - Mode - Advanced

There is also expert mode as well.
Green Triangle - Configuration - Folding@home Priority - Expert Mode

Should give around 900PPD according to Stanford.
