PS3 DEAD?

So my fat Ps3, just blinked off, and is giving me the bleeps and three flashing red lights, i guess its knackerd then?
Is it worth repairing? or just buying a slim model?
And can you transfer your account over?

well there is a shop down the road that fixes them, but im thinking of the cost ,and if it might happen again, at least with a new one id get a warranty and could take it back to the shop.

Yup this is in the back of my mind, its one of the first models to come out, and it might well go again.
So the slims are more reliable etc?
Think ill pop into town tommorrow, and see what the prices for a second hand slim are.
