Ps3 dead?

So I've had my PS3 lest than a month and went to turn it on today and the power LED by the on switch went green briefly then completely dead (not even red)

Could I be missing anything obvious or is it dead, dead and time for a replacement?

Typical really, my launch 360 lasted for over 3 years and my slim ps3 dies this quickly

None of that. Light is red when power cable is plugged in but console not turned on, light turns briefly green when I turn it on then goes dead almost immediately. Then can't try again, but if I unplug it and try again in a while it does the same thing again
