PS3 disable controller start

Recently I have been using a PS3 controller on the PC to play GRID but whenever I shut down the PC the controller makes my PS3 turn on (2 floors down.!!!)

Is there a way to stop the PS3 turning on with a controller?

Do you need any drivers / software to get the PS3 controller working with a PC?
What about bluetooth, is there a way to pair it?

You just connect the controller up and there's an exe you can run to make your PC recognize it, usb only.

Does it handle pressure sensitive on the PC? I didnt think of the USB connectivity, could be handy

also, you know when you press the PS button and the light starts flashing as it looks for a PS3, how do you then tell it to stop and switch off? Ive had this happen a few times when im on my way to a friend's house, no PS3 in range on the train

, but cant tell the controller to switch off

You need a small driver to get it to work: http://www.codeproject.com/KB/mcpp/wiredps3axis.aspx

USB only and the buttons are not analogue, also the triggers are digital (AFAIK) but the analogue steering does work which is great for a racegame like GRID.

@Marcos, my controller does the blinking/searching but goes off after a while.
