PS3 drive clicking noise

Hi, just wanted to check my PS3 is working normally. It makes a kinda clicking noise quite a lot, it sounds like it's from the BR drive, like a optical drive-seek sound. Happens when you go into new areas in Drakes, or when you find a treasure, or it's also quite noticeable on the vehicles select screen in Motorstorm. It's way too loud to be the HDD.

I guess I can live with it, it's the sort of thing you might not notice with the PS3 in a living room, but in a bedroom it's really obvious. I can probably record it btw.

Just want to check it's normal. Never had any problems with reading discs btw.

Never noticed any clicking noises on my Japanese 20GB or my UK 60GB or even my sons UK 60GB. Could be a fault with the drive so it may be worth taking it back to the store just in case.

Mine does it. It's just the drive seeking that's all.

I found if my PS3 is vertical the drive makes more noise than horizontal (or it could just be me noticing it more)
