ps3 ethernet cable cat5 or cat 6

looking to buy a 5m ethernet cable to connect my ps3 to a router, does it have to be a cat 6 cable like the one supplied or can it be a cat 5 like the belkin cables sold here ?

as your internet connection is probably slower than 100mb, i think cat5 will be fine.

Cat 5 and 6 are basically the same, one has a plastic/rubber core down the middle for added strength, and the other doesn't. I would say that Cat6 supports true Gigabit though (why I used it for my home wiring.. but that's another kettle of fish)

I'd say for runs as low as 5m then go Cat5.. you won't notice any different
