Singstar was released on 7th December 2007!

All though maybe they are actually going to add some of the 'hundreds' of songs we were promised some time this year

Sony really need to shoot there marketing team

Only game I am really looking forward to is LBP, but I'm sure I'll grab some of the others :)

Although like others have mentioned I don't think we'll see all of those games during 08.

edit: Just had a look at Alan Wake, and wow if Remedy pull it off this can deffnately be the best game of 08, shame I haven't got anything to play it on atm :(

Got a feeling this is going to be a big disappointment this game, cant see it living up to what people are expecting of it.

Seems ironic to pick out Alan Wake as a potential hype victim in a thread where most people are going on about Gran Turismo 5, Final Fantasy XIII and Metal Gear Solid 4, the latter of which I think will be the biggest victim.

I've tried to stay away from Alan Wake as much as is possible whilst keeping a massive interest in it as I feel it's possible to overhype any game and Alan Wake is the last I ever want it to happen to. It's worked in the past (staying away from hype, websites, videos, interviews etc..) with games like Bioshock, Mass Effect and Call of Duty 4 for me, so it's a case of sticking with that I think.

agreed - havent seen anything in it which is that much different from MGS2+3 (and i want it to be good i really do)

but its early days yet - i wont start digging Snake's grave just yet. :D

Well, I was just passing comment, Final fantasy and the metal gear games leave me stone cold so i dont comment on them, Gran Turismo 5 would have to be pretty awful not to be better than 99% of racers out there at the moment.

I mentioned Alan Wake as every magazine I've bought over the past year or so has bigged it up, you have mentioned it a fair few times and as part of the conversation i just said, i cant see it living up to what people are expecting from it.

I really dont see why its going to be so great from what ive read about it.

I'm not sure. i think the whole episodic nature of the game sounds very interesting, and the initial premise sounds very good indeed.

Not massively excited about it, but then I don't get massively excited about any games any more.. :(

Max payne one was fantastic, max payne 2 was meh

I thought MP2 was every bit as good, but it wasn't as dark as the first one. It resembled more of a hollywood blockbuster. As I've said in the past, Max Payne 1 and 2 are in my top 5 games of all time.

The reason I am so excited about Alan Wake is that neither Max Payne 1 or 2 were victims of their own hype, and that's saying something. Particularly about Max Payne.

I felt the art kinda took a wrong turn with MP2. Also i didn't like the way it was a different max payne, yet still the same. I might have liked MP2 if max resembled the same one as in MP.
