PS3 F1 06

Looks amazing, but I gave up trusting Sony a long time ago.

Would be flipping awesome if that is ingame though.
 
Sad, F1 is the one game I really would like to see on the 360. Its the only reason I brought a PS One for the 96 f1 game and the 97 one was the nuts. Best F1 game ever.

If this ends up being awesome I may have a dilemma :D
 
Doesn't look all that tbh, although it's hard to tell on the low quality vid. The only thing that impressed me were the rain effects and lets face it, with current gen hardware effects like that will become the norm - Drydocks on GRAW for example.

I'd love to see an F1 game on the 360 but iirc Sony has the official license till some silly date. At least we get our WWF stuffs off them :D
 
The game looks absolutly stunning, There are videos of in game footage at TGS and they are in game as the camera switches between people playing it. According to a wired article i read today its even better now :eek:
I think its probably the prettiest looking next gen game and the one along with MGS4 i am most looking forward too.
But who knows when it will be released

No :D But with good reason though ;) I'm pretty sure I saw the videos on the IGN page before and they didn't have that one, and one thing I am pretty sure of is that they won't have been of comparable quality to the ones off gametrailer.com ;)

I thought that initially until I downloaded the hd version.
 
The game looks pretty damn impressive in terms of car detail, does certainly have a good amount of detail, however some of the track quality and other things look pretty pants to me. Still, it'll look damn pretty on a 1080p TV and sound great on a DD+ sound setup.

It's certainly a game a lot of people will be crying out for the rumble feature I reckon. Also it sounds like Sony have really not put enough effort into the triggers on the SIXAXIS from what Gamespot say, where there just isn't enough sensitivity or range.

Difficulty wise, I can guess they'll have made it quite arcadey, even on hardest, as it would be a hell of a boring game if you were playing in sim mode... only ever overtaking in the pits, waiting for engine failure of team in front etc etc :p
 
I imagine it will play like the PS2 version (Which, apart from the graphics seems to be exactly the same!)

Apart from a few bugs (The game was rushed out for release), it plays brilliantly - the best F1 game for some time!
 
I think Sony's hold on F1 games runs out next year? To be honest GP4 with all the track updates and 2006 cars at 1920 x 1200 looks just as good. The sound effects are nice though :D
