PS3 Fat32 USB Limitations

Can find much at all online about this.

Is there anyway around the 4gig file size on Fat32 partitions?

I want to play some HD films on the PS3 but all the files are over 4gb

Dont think so other than using a media streamer or splitting the files

You'd need to format the partition with NTFS, which assume you won't be able to do.

I'm sure you can Media Stream them from a Computer to the PS3. I used to do this with Music and Videos all the time when I had a PS3.

Split the files, or alternatively you can stream the files from your PC to Ps3.

If you need to split them then use MKVToolNix.
