PS3 file stream problems?

Before patch 1.9 I could access all the videos, pictures and etc on my PC from the PS3 just fine, now after, it still shows the files up on the PS3 but when I select to open them, it says 'could not connect to media server, check settings'. I have looked everywhere, made it all open and shareable, but it still hasn't fixed a thing. Anyone else experienced the same thing? I just want to get a wallpaper on the XMB.

ive got the same problem

trying to share using windows media player 11 media sharing.

Have you got the latest version of TVersity or the PS3 patch, maybe that helps, if not it looks like another TVersity update is needed.

can you only stream by tversity

or is it possible by WMP 11 ?

Both should work but I have never tried WMP11, I have used TVersity for a while now without issue.

I have heard about 'unsupported file' messages before and the reason it does that is because the PS3 is impatient and before if you tried it a few times eventually it works.

might have to try tversity then

never actually got WMP11 to work so it might not at all.
