I've been getting frustrated with the PS3's six axis controller when playing F1 so I decided to have a play with the controllers settings.
I've switch to tilt for streering and I can't believe how much easier it is and also how much more responsive it feels compared to the stick.
I thought the general concensus with regard to the PS3's motion control was crap but I am well impressed.
For the life of me I can't remember the name of the game but there was a PS3 game released earlier this year where you control / ride a dragon?
I know there were a lot of posts slating it for the motion control.
Either I am missing something or I am just crap with PS3 controllers (lol) but I am so impressed with this for steering in F1.
The more I tinker with the PS3 the more I love it and my only regret is not buying one sooner.
Do other games like Motorstorm utilise this feature for steering and if so, how do they compare?

Motorstorm has tilt steering but it's ridiculously difficult with Six-Axis, much like F1.

Edit: I'm talking in comparison to the sticks competitively online here. Six-Axis is more fun though.

I can't see what's so hard about controlling Motorstorm with six-axis, especially since they patched it giving low, med and high sensitivity settings, it's pretty simple to steer.

Yes, but you look like a special needs person playing.

It's not overly hard, and it is fun, however I'd find it unlikely someone using Six-Axis would beat someone competitively using the sticks. At least a decent player.

Exactly. You don't feel in complete control when your using Six-Axis, you do when your using the buttons.

Lol, not yet.
I still have 'L' plates on until I have learned the circuits a bit better.

I found that medium was pretty easy to win races, harder to qualify up the grid than win a race from the back.

Hard is hard, why does every formula one game basically allow you to overtake about 10 cars at the start?
