It started up fine, and i was doing the update.I came back 5 min later and the screen had gone off and its just flashing the red light now.
My launch day 360 is still going strong though
Am i doing anything wrong or is it dead?
Phoned sony up and they are giving me a replacement unit this friday.
You should have just swapped with the retailer tbh. So you are guaranteed a brand new console. You may get a refurb from Sony (nothing wrong with refurbs, but to get one 3 days after you have a brand spanking new present would annoy me).

The second guy i spoke to was really helpful, and said it would be a brand new console. The Asda they bought it from don't open till the 27th and it is the next town so i don't mind waiting an extra day.
Plus the fact that we have no receipt to give them.Either we didn't get one or it has been thrown away(which i can't see happening).
One question though,i have a component cable that i use with the PS2.Will this work or will i need a new one.My LCD doesn't have HDMI.
