ps3 game recovery data

i was loading my players careers profile on top spin 3 and it went find, then when i selected to play a game it crashed on the loading screen, i turned the machine off and the restarted it and low and behold my career player profile had gone !!!!!!!!, all those long hours and all my hard work gone down the drain.

has this ever happen to you before ? ITS JUST A PAIN!!!!!!!!!
and is there anyway to recover the data as i havent got the heart to play all those games again

Get someone to email you their game save, will save you playing it all over again
