Ps3 gamepad problems

Just tried to play my ps3 tonight only for both of my gamepads to not work, i swithced them on ( ps button) and the 4 red lights flas like they usally do but they just kept flashing then swithced off, plugged 1 into the ps3 using the usb cable and it charged the controller, took it out after the 1 red led stopped flashing only for all red leds to flash and then it switched off, the only new thing ive added is a netgear wireless router :confused:

Anyon have any ideas what may be wrong?

Try it again with the router off.

Had the same meesage up on the ps3 forums, doubling my chances for replies, got 1 that said if you have the ps3 gamepad in your Pc ( which i did to charge up a week ago) then to use the usb cable switch the ps3 on with the Ps button, switch off system, unplug and restart the system with the PS button, just did it and it seemed to work.

Thought id post that just incase anyone eles has the same problem.

Plug your USB cable into the controller and hook it up to the console and press the "PS" button.
