Sony or Shops getting desperate, seen it at 3 major retailers online.

No crap games either, flag ship games

Resistance: Fall Of Man
Motorstorm
Formula One - Championship Edition

Sony must want to shift some PS3 so whats the best way, drop the games by £20 rrp to £30, its still very very cheap for a console thats only been out a month.

Doubt it. Think about it. 1st party Microsoft games cost 49.99 rrp and the supermarkets and decent online merchants sell them for more or less 39.99

1st Party Sony games are 39.99 rrp so why is it inconceivable that they would be a tenner less? 3rd Party games are 49.99 and these can be had for 39.99 like the 360.

Note: I know some sites offer a couple of quid less on some 360 games, But I think its fair to say that on a full priced game the discount is generally a tenner.

Crikey, Sony can't win, can they? They price their console at £425 and people (including me) moan that it's too expensive for just a console. Then, they sell the games cheaply and some people (excluding me) moan that it's too cheap!?!

I guess the point maybe they can't sell the consoles like they hoped thats obvious, one shop i know has turned away fresh stock as they can't sell the ones they got easy, its not desperation its just the fact they need to sweeten the console for more to buy, so if its more than the 360 reduce the games which will make up for it imo.

The difference between when the 360 was first released and now is simply that there is competition. Basically both parties need to put there money where there mouth is and fight HARD for our cash. As a gamer I say bring it on!

This is fantastic news. Top 360 games have been doing the rounds lately for £25, I picked GOW for just £18 the other day

Don't question it, fill yer boots lads!

Same. Was looking for a new game now I've nearly finished RFOM :D

:)
What you think of R:FOM? I've only started to get into it, and haven't got too far so don't tell me what happens, but would you say it's been good?

Also i had FPS lagg on it earlier when i was beside fire and zoomed in to an enemy, or so it seemed the way it moved when i tried to turn. But i've never had it before, and i was at a high detailed area i suppose, also once i had an enemy freeze and not disappear.

Yeah, I've enjoyed it. Took a while to get into but once your in your hooked :D

Story is quite good, the cut scenes between levels move it along at a nice pace, giving enough out to keep you interested but still maintaining the mystery behind it. Try and pick up all the intel you can, it helps with a lot of the background story.

The checkpoints can be slightly annoying at times, would much been able to save whenever and wherever i can!!

Graphics are ok, HD console gaming i guess! Models are great, textures at times aren't! Coming from a decent spec PC I can't rave home about them too much :p , so far I've had no lagg or freezing of the enemy.

Best level so far has been the jeep one! Its great fun running down all the Chimera (SP?)

Overall its worth the money I've paid, very few FPS keep my interest long enough to complete, usually get bored with the repetitiveness of it all, but with all the cool weapons, different scenery etc its kept me entertained.

:)
