Santa brought me a PS3 for christmas. I`ve noticed you can use bluetooth keyboard and mouse. Will I be able to use them to play Call of duty?
Thanks for your help;)

Damn!!! I cant bring myself to even try playing with a joypad!!...Last time i tried it was a nightmare....Shot the floor n sky more times than most.....will i ever get as good as i was (or so i thought lol) with a mouse?? Anybody else made the transition from pc FPS to console FPS with a gaming pad?

I was a big PC gamer so I know how you feel about the controller, your get used to it eventually :).

Keyboard n mouse just feels so right though. Prob because thats what I`m used to! But why dont Sony & Microsoft make it possible for keyboards n mouse to be used with their games systems?? I`m sure they would find so many more people buying consoles plus they could make their own and milk in some more cash! A lot of my mates dont want consoles for the very reason they want to be able to play as they did on a pc. I will try it again though....100`s thousands of console gamers manage it well i guess?!

re

lookup "xim"...this enables you to use a pc keyboard and mouse without thr deadzone that you get converters...xfps being one of them..dont bother with xfps cause i tried it and the deadzone is very bad....i sent it back within 24 hrs....im gonna buy an xim though of ebay....they eliminate 99% of deadzone..all this for bad company as its worth it as bad company is the only game i think to even compete with battlefield 2 pc...:)

nope tried COD4 for weeks hated it and eventually gave up. That coupled with no voice comms (need bluetooth headset) and not being able to type comments made the game feel very soloish.

I knew I was playing online with others but could not communicate with them but that's a general thing for me with consoles.
I'm used to spamming the chat in FPS games :D

because you can buy a USB keyboard for 3 quid and a dualshock costs 30 quid. you do the math ;)

got a ps3 for xmas installed resistance 1 , played for about 30 seconds put disc back in case . will wait for keyboard - mouse combo or get fragfx

cheers

I moved over from a heavy pc gamer to an Xbox 360 and have never looked back,

Was a little strange at first but once you get used to it its fine.

I moved over from pc and the pads do take some getting used to but its all good in the end. The benefit of the pads is that unlike pc gaming everyone has the same kit.

I was an avid PC gamer before getting my PS3 and turning towards FPS on the console and going argh i can't control anything. Before my purchase i'd had a quick go on my m8's ps2 (same control system for FPS) and had no control over anything.

My first bash on a game properly was on "The Darkness". When you play the game on easy you get a small amount of auto aim when you get close ish to the enemies with your crosshair. This helped me in two ways, one i was improving my aiming skills and two i was getting through the game and enjoying it whilst improving. Now i am fairly competent with FPS games on the PS3, granted i'm not to the standard i was with my PC but it will come in time don't worry :)

360 pad use feels easier in FPS game imho. In saying that it depends on controls as well e.g. Deadspace is kinda FPS well 3rd person shooter and controls very user friendly.

not sure what the situation is with KEyboard n mouse control in Killzone 2
