PS3 HD capacity?

Is there a way to see what exactly is stored on the PS3?
I got a 40GB HD but Im already down to 28GB after just installing GTA4! What gives?

Not sure there is a way to list the contents, you just have to go to each item and view it's properties I think.

However, I am pretty certain you don't get the full 40GB out of the box. You will lose some through the file system, plus some may be reserved for system use.

Not played the PS3 version of GTAIV, so not sure how much it takes up.

I think GTA4 is a 5gb Install, which takes you upto 33GB and I think that is about right out of the box (I had 60gb but as I recall it started with 48/52 Gb available or something like that).

GTA is about 3.5GB I think.
