PS3 Headset Sound (not connection related)

I've got a usb Sennheiser headset that I could probably use with the PS3 but I hate having the headphones on. If I just sit them around my neck then I can't position the mic close enough to pick up my voice okay - at least that's what happens when I use the headset on STEAM in TF2.

Anyway, when using a headset with the PS3 does the sound come back through the headphones, the TV speakers or both?

You can set it to come from either the headphones or TV.

Ah, then what I really want is just a usb mic that clips around my neck and leaves both my ears free to enjoy the sound coming from my speakers.

Trouble is I've never seen such a thing - Have you?
