ps3 headset usb wired

ok,
need a ps3 usb wired headset, any suggestions please.
I ask as reading around and asking, people are telling me that compatibility is an issue.
help!

Works very well, was designed for the PS2 but has perfect compatibility with the PS3.

I use a plantronics 610 usb headset, best thing about it is that it uses a usb dongle so if the headset itself snuffs it I can just replace it with any old headset that uses 3.5mm jacks. Also has a 2.9m cable.

Problem with that is, two earphones, means you're forced to use the headset for all audio output. For me one of the best features of consoles is that for all games they separate voice chat and game audio into two streams and output them into two devices.

got one free with socom 2, was great at the time :d

Sadly due to the widespread adoption of crappy bluetooth headsets on the PSN, it's pretty much joint best for sound quality along with the official headset (which came out after i bought it

).

Really wish Sony had pulled their finger out earlier and got a decent headset on the market on release.
