Hey hey

I have a 4gamers headset for the PS3 but it requires the sound to come across via av, its a lot of messing about with wires basically.

I have just set up an AV receiver to 5.1 surround sound and I need a mic for cod, im thinking that the official Bluetooth headset is my best option but surely this is going to send all my game sound through the mic as well as my voice?

What mic would you recommend?

I use the Gioteck bluetooth wireless headset, it's so awesome and only £11 from your local computer game distribution centre.

I use separate headphones for mine so I just put the microphone down in front of me and it still works a treat, it even picks up my mrs talking from half way across the room. It is in the ps3 settings as to where the audio comes out.

The official one is fine and no the game sound doesn't come through the mic, or at least not when I had mine, if you don't have your TV super loud then it'll be fine. There's also a huge mute button on the side which you can press if you're paranoid about the TV sound going through the mic, you can just press it again to un-mute when you want to talk. :)

Although this conflicts with what Sp00n says, I have a friend who had the Gioteck mic and he could hear us but we could hardly ever hear him.

I have no qualms with my Gioteck and neither do my buddies, it starts to go very quiet when the battery runs out though and it doesn't have a mute button, but for £11, can't complain.
