Hi guys, a mate of mine has a ps3 the refuses to read disks and has asked me to swap the drive over with another from the same (60gb) generation a simple job right? well no it seems as i have done just that and it still won't load anything dvd, game or blu-ray all won't load, the replacement drive was working fine until the console died (yellow/ red flashing light) so i would have thought it would have worked fine but no 
so any help would be awesome

I think I might try the ylod fix on the other one and maybe if it works look into a new drive would be cheaper than a new one and can play ps2 games happy days
