PS3 Home beta for US only

Seems daft - why not just role it out to everyone and then iron all the chinks in one go.

I'm confused, on http://www.homebetatrial.com/ it still shows what it has always shown, that the page will change and you will be able to join a BETA.

Other sites are implying this BETA e-mail went out to a certain amount of US pS3 owners who have already registered their Hardware online. I don;t think I have registered my console, but it not being a USA one would have ruled me out I guess.

It is disappointing for sure ( I would love to be a beta tester for this) however this is also a completely free upgrade when it comes (hopefully October last time I heard) - maybe with limited sales in the US they might ask UK registered units to join also......

either way Im looking forward to this
 
Ive heard that most of the people who have the invite are GAP members, perhaps the homebeta site is for the open beta test in august rather than closed beta that starts in april?
 
By the way, anyone with a US account, check the playstation store regularly as it is appearing on random peoples Featured Items in the US :eek:

I think the Halo 3 beta excitement then farce is getting to everyone lol
