PS3 iPlayer

At one time I had iPlayer on my PS3 menu untill today when I did a system update it now not there. I have rebooted the PS3 a few times and it not there anymore I wish I did not do the system update now

have you tried visiting bbc.co.uk/iplayer on the browser manually, then restarting?

just tried that and does not appear back on my ps3 menu

Dunno, but maybe it's due to iPlayer being down for some? (On the web, so perhaps that affects the PS3 too).

i found that after i did a system update it disappeared but i just re visited the site and it came back.

Switched on my US PS3 to watch a movie earlier and the TV tab was there along with the iplayer.... wtf?! (it failed to connect though as it doesn't work outside the UK)

Think I saw this mentiond in the FW update thread. The actual update process appears a bit buggy but it resolves itself after one or two restarts of the ps3.

I've never had the iPlayer logo there (PS3 is a refurb) I logged into the dummy ocuk account used for sharing the GOW3 demo and it appeared. Even after re-logging back into my main account its there. Maybe try this method.

I just switched accounts and it reappeared

This fixed it for me, i had tried all sorts before doing this with no success.

Its just a glorified link to the browser anyway, was hoping it might be a neatened up application or something, alas not

I was glad to see the back of it, was the highlight of the new update having it dissapear. But now its back
