No shouldnt be a problem, my PS3 was left on for 10 days folding when i was on my hols. If you have a PSP pair it with your PS3 and as long as you have a WiFi connection you can switch and switch off your PS3 as you like, if it concerns you.

10hrs? what kind of net connection do you have dude?

And yeah it will be fine, I've left mine on folding for 48hrs solid before now, these things don't overheat, they just throw a lot of heat out.

I'd be much more confident leaving the ps3 downloading rather than the 360, but what net connection do you have dude?

Just a 2mb line. So max i get is 250-270 kb/s, and im torrenting as well so it will be slow downloading burnout today.

800mb would take alnight to get. Thats y im letting it download while im at work

You don't need to leave the Xbox360 on, you set something to download then turn it off, it uses a power save mode to still download whilst it's off, the power light on the front will blink every 5 seconds or so.

got to admit I never really download any more, any when I do its when I'm playing a game so the xbox is never on when I'm not gaming, or watched a DVD

My PS3 has been on practically the entire weekend thanks to Oblivion. At one point I did think there was a nasty burning smell coming from it but it went away as quickly as it appeared...

Probably the heat out of the back melting your wall? :p

Why would you waste your moneyz on some folding thing?

Waste of time if u ask me

Yeah I feel the same now, if electricity wasn't so expensive I wouldn't care. But I'm becoming tight as I get older so no folding!

My mate did final fantasy 7, without saving, to prove a point. Dunno how long it took him, but he slept, etc. Just left it paused. So it was on a fair while. With no trouble

It's actually contributing to something constructive and useful for the benefit of the whole of mankind... but if you see it as a waste of money then I suppose it's each to their own.!!!

Is the PSN slow as hell today, just trying to download Turok and Conflict demo's but they are seriously slow as in 20 kb/s or around that. Never had this before and my net speed is normal. Just tried the inet browser on the ps3 and that loads fine. Just downloads from the ps3 are terribly slow.

Some people complain of slow PSN speeds, it's been a frequent complaint from day one, never ever had it myself though, I find it faster than Xbox Live :p.
