PS3 loses more exclusives

It's said that the rats are the first to abandon a sinking ship. While not rats, publishers are beginning to abandon the PS3 after its less-than-impressive launch and news of production woes. Three titles have pulled up stakes and moved to the Xbox 360 (as cross-platform).

Koei, long time PlayStation supporter (and company frequently billed as key support to win the generation) has pulled Fatal Inertia and Blade Storm: The Hundred Years' War from the PS3 exclusive list and plopped them squarely into the Xbox 360 camp. Another PlayStation staple, the Armored Core series, is also coming to the white box in the form of Armored Core 4.

Sony is going to be in for a difficult battle if key players keep moving over party lines; Microsoft is doing far better coaxing exclusive content over to the 360. If Sony continues to lose its differentiation, why should gamers continue to shell out up to $200 more just to play the same games?

nice to see more Sony only developers joining the dark side

I have to admit, I really liked the look of Fatal Inertia, so it is good news for me, although I wish MS made Quantum Redshift 2. That was a great game.

Considering how much it can cost to develop games, there is little point in developing for 300,000 people compared to 7 million. Obviously as the PS3 sells more developers will be more interested. #

Had the 360 and PS3 launched at the same time it would have been a level playingfield and sony would have their exclusives. The developers will go where the biggest profit is.

Nice to see so many exclusives going multi-platform.
Saves you missing out on quite a few good games if you only have 1 console.

Definately.

I was thinking, what series does Sony still have that are exclusive? It doesn't make that many games itself, so it might not have many exclusives left.

Versions of MGS have been on the Xbox 1, so it is hardly a major stretch to imagine them on the 360. MGS3 might have been a PS2 exclusive, but thats not to say that the sequel will be.

Yes, and GTA4 will be out on the 360 before it is on the PS3.

All of the other games are out for the Original Xbox and backwards compatible on the 360.

Bluedragon is 2nd most wanted game (possibly 3rd) in japan thats an RPG i think  Also on 360! its ahead of MGS

Well if GTA4 is out on the 360, then i have no reason to be upset for finally giving up on the PS3.

The Blue-ray drive was the killer for me, a useless bit of technology if hollywood is going HD-DVD.

So the PS3 is already out of date and its not even out here yet.
