ps3 may be delayed till may.

I haven't missed anything... However even Sony themselves must know that the original delay was going to hurt them (even though they don't like to admit it). This extra delay will hurt them even more, especially since the Xbox360 would have had an 18 months head start and the Wii would have had a 6 month head start on them.

So am I to assume your initial post was sarcasm then? It's a little hard to tell on a forum.

just think by the time PS3 hits these shores it'll be 18months for the xbox360 with another 3 years left (most probably) in its cycle, then we will have the next console by MS which will totally out power the PS3 anyway in every department just as the PS3 probably hits its sweet price point of £200/£150, yet Sony won't be able to do a thing this time as they are so commited with a longer life span for their machine this time round so will be stuck with a aging bit of hardware will MS steam rolls on. Thus i'm thinking it may just be not worth even considering a PS3 this time round.

I think this is pretty relevant:

well Sony deserve everything they get.. with all the problems and delays I hope the ps3 and blu-ray flops.
I don't.

As a 360 owner I want there to be competition in the games market to really push MS and game developers and make them fight for our money.

Without competition there is always the possibility of everyone involved sitting back and making pretty but dull games for the 360 and quirky but rough around the edges games for the Wii.

Hmm not sure though. Remember the Dreamcast? An excellent machine way ahead of its time, but so far ahead of its time it got flattened by the release of the Playstation. While I don't think it would be that extreme, its probably worth thinking about.

Is the PS£ made by the same people that are doing the new Wembly?

Well if Sony were in charge the goal posts would be an accessory you buy later but would be bundled with an tennis court as standard, because its value for money.

No no, you'd get the outer shell of the stadium. Then you'd have to buy the individual seats for £1 each, then you'd have to pay for the Turf, then the goal posts, then the advertising billboards and then pay to add in snack shops but it'd be ok because the actual shell would be all you would need to play football :D

Look at it this way, by the time it gets released over here all the manufacturing bugs will be ironed out, and there wont be as many failing consoles in Europe.

Paul ...

I'd take that with a pinch of salt, didn't they say something about a worldwide launch?, further more didn't they delay the PSP numerous times?...

Sony would most probably deny everything with the PS3 so close to launch and xmas fast approaching, lets see what they say after xmas when people haven't got the cash to go out and buy a 360 or wii as a xmas present due to any more bad news.
