PS3 Media Sharing

I have been reading this thread http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17829701&highlight=ps3+sharing+media about sharing media to my PS3 from my File server. I will give it a try tonight but is there any better simpler programs that allow you to share a folder with say all your videos/mp3s/pics to your PS3 without having to add it to the Media Player Library? In the past i used the media extender standalone program and that worked fine and i could brows by folder but i cant with the addin for MP11 it just wants to add all my vids then lumps them on one big list...

Any help would be appreciated

doesn't WMP11 let you add a top level folder and then browse the sub folders from the PS3?
I am sure that is how it is working on mines. I don't add every single video i want to stream onto the library.
