PS3 missing HD space on new drive.

Just installed a 120gb HD on my ps3 and formatted down to 111gb which is fine. But in the system information it states 97gb free. Where has 14gb gone?

This is a fresh install and I have only synced my trophies from the server. Nothing has been installed or restored.

The PS3 reserves a percentage of the total capacity for internal use for the OS and various other things that we're not totally sure of. So unfortunately this is normal. The larger the drive the more space is reserved.
