Anyone know of a decent free .mov > Mp4 converter. I want to watch some apple HD trailers on my tv.

It'll lose some of its quality as that's the nature of transcoding, it will still be more than good enough to watch though.

Hmmmmm iv found it depends on what codec the .mov video file was produced. So it can vary. Cant say Iv ever tried to convert full 1080p files.

Its free, light, and pretty fast so its worth a try anyway

Just tried it. Looks absolutely terrible. I want to keep the 1080p resolution otherwise i may aswell watch them on my pc.

Only other program I came across that could do it, and would do it to the quality you require, is QuickTime Pro. You can custom change the quality because it completely re-writes the file in the new codec, but it took an absolute age even for a short animated fly through.
