i enjoyed 12 but never completed it. 13 i enjoyed for the first few chapters and it has a great battle but it takes far too long to be able to use it properly, you get to chapter 11 and get masses of freedom then get dragged back into the linearity for the last 2 chapters.
my experience was by half way point i was getting bored and it was becoming a chore, loved the freedom of chapter 11 but then your upgrades are limited so the freedom is pointless then i tried to carry on but it just wasnt fun, not even slightly, it was repetative excessivly long drawn out battles and even the battle system and prettyness couldnt hold up what was a terrible attempt at extending the life of the game. in the end i just got into chapter 13 and decided to sell it while it was worth it and unlike most games i do this with i have no intention of picking it up again for another shot.
please check for yourself though as some people love it but i wouldnt waste the 15 hours that it takes to get into the battle system.
