I have always had trouble with my belkin router and games that use p2p. To get round this on my console i put my ps3 in a dmz. But recently that has seemed to have failed. I can no longer get nat 2 using this method.

My ps3 is currently still in the dmz but the only way i can get it to nat 2 is enabling upnp which in the past i used to disable cause it caused problems. But even though i can get it set to nat 2 i still cant connect to players. Gt5 fight night chapion and fifa seem the worse for this. If i dont enable upnp i seem to get nat 3 no matter what i do.

Anybody get any ideas was going on why my old method of using the dmz has been failing in the last month or so.

I'm using a wired connection my isp is bt and my router is a belkin F5D8633-4 N Wireless

Have you set the ps3 up to use a static ip ? For example i use 192.168.1.6 I set that in the ps3 network settings then in the router set same ip as the dmz and I reserve 192.168.1.6 for the ps3.

have you tried opening the ports manually rather than dmz? i have done buffalo and netgear routers with success. but i tried to sort my mates on cod who has a homehub and no matter what i done he stayed on a strict nat
