PS3 Network Speed

Hi,

A while ago I got a Fibre connection installed (BT Infinity), I have hard wired my Desktop into the router and I'm receiving the full 37mb down that my connection is putting out along with 8mb upload. When I hard wire my PS3 into the router I get around 20mb down and 4mb up basically half of hat the connection can really do, anyone know why the PS3 doesn't output my connection's full speed?
 
It's pretty much the same speed regardless of the time, you could be right though not sure. Was just wondering if anybody else had experienced the same issues I thought my PS3 network adapter may have been up the left or something.
 
Yeah I go custom when setting up wired and wireless, initially I thought I was doing something wrong when setting it up manually so I tried the 'easy' configuration but I seen no performance boost.
