hi i have a PS3 arriving next week, can i connect a pair of pc speakers to the ps3 for sound? if not how would i get sound as the last time i had my 360 connected to my tft i had to get the audio from my hifi as i couldnt work out how to get sound from pc to ps3.

hope someone understands what im on about?

What connector do the speakers have?

How are you connecting it to the monitor?
speakers are plugged into my xfi the connection is just the standard green jack connection.

connecting the ps3 to my tft is a different problem no doubt i wanted to connect it to my tft (Dell S2309W) cant post a link im afraid due to rules as ocuk dont stock them anymore

3.5mm jack and a 3.5mm jack coupler.

3.5mm jack will connect to the sound out leads which come with PS3 and PC speakers will go into the jack coupler.

:)

i have my ps3 now but still confussed about the sound, i want to connect my PC audio and my PS3 to one amplifier/speakers. at the moment im keep taking out the leads for when i want to use PS3 or PC.

i have connected the PS3 lead to 2xPhono to 3.5mm stereo connector using the red and white lead, which then connects to my PC speakers via the back of the amplifier i then have to take this out when i wish to use my PC which is using the same speakers amp which is using the standard green connector.

Do i need to buy something called a A/B switch ? to connect both ps3 and pc to amp this way i dont have to disconnect anything when i want to use either pc or ps3

hope someones understands what im on about

You mean like a switch, so you can flick to different sound outputs, i.e PC & PS3.

I would have thought you would need a switch/hub or what ever they are called..
