Run up a wall, jump off and slash downwards - Rinse + repeat
If hes close enough it will do a decent bit of damage. It doesnt always connect so after the move finishes roll/jump of the way. Also always keep running + jumping around so he doesnt get close enough to damage you.
Never attack him from the front since he will either counter your attacks or grab you in a hold and do a lot of damage.
Thats how I do it on the Xbox version so it may work on the PS3 remake.

You only have to get him down to a 1/4, if your struggling use your magic attacks, dont forget to shake the controller to increase its power! This will take it down a 1/4 ish at a time. Then as said earlier run jump of wall attack downwards
