PS3 not connecting to TV

I bought my PS3 slim a week ago and have been playing it on my Panasonic TH-42PX80 (via HDMI) and its been brilliant.

I wanted to take the PS3 to my room and so connected it to my 26" Sony LCD (via HDMI) but its not finding any HDMI devices.

So I tried to connect it via the component cable it came with and still no luck (tried all av channels).

I cannot see where i'm going wrong :confused:

I also tried holding down the power button when i changed cables (got the 3 beeps) but still no picture.

I can hear that the PS3 is on.

Any ideas?

Update

I tried the reset a couple of more times and finally its worked.

This happens to me every time I move the PS3, just reset it over and over until the screen appears, its quite a pain.

Actually I think I was doing the reset wrong at first.

The reset is not the 3 beep sound as I first thought. You have to keep holding down the power button when you switch on the PS3 untill you get 1 more beep after the initial power on beep.

So I assume it will be a case of doing that if I move the PS3 back downstairs again.
