ps3 not reading discs.

After my phat ps3 died I bought a super slim. Its been working for about a month now but today I put uncharted 3 in and no disc icon came up/ game wouldnt start. Nothing happens with f1 2012 neither.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Ive also tried a dvd film to no avail.
 
If it is out of warrenty just take it apart. Probably just something loose like the laser. Its really easy, just follow a youtube video.

Mine stopped working the other month. Turned out my son decided to use it as a money box and put a coin in it, which got drawn to the magnetic which holds the disc. Took it apart, took out coin and working fine again
 
The super slim only came out late last year so it will be still be under warranty, try taking it back to the shop you got it from if you can, if not ring sony and get it replaced.

Dont try and DIY it or take it apart etc, best get it replaced - just remember to backup your game saves to a USB stick (or ps+ if you have it) and sync your psn account so you can transfer them on to the replacment
 
yeh use warranty if you still have it, I use to have one that died for the same reason that was a few years ago, took it out and bought a new laser, fixed it and was working for like 6 months then same thing. sold it in the end lol
