I have an Official Sony Blu tooth mic and was going to use the stand alone mic feature in its docking station (Which I havent used yet or know about until recently).

My question is: If I use it as a stand alone can I also use some stero headphones with it? So there is no loud tv echoing the mic (if that happens?)

Thanks

I know when I have it clipped to my ear, I have to turn the TV sound to number 1 - barely audible because it's too sensitive. I tried it in its docking station and the sensitivity seemed to be much less but I found myself shouting just in case people couldn't hear.

I would have thought so. Just checking. I havent used the mic in its docking station as a standalone mic before.

i have never tried using the ps3 headset as a stand alone mic but depending on how you installed the headset eitheir BT mode so you have full control of sensitivity or HQ mode which is best used on the ear ;)

I don't see any reason this wouldn't work, but just make sure you set the voice chat output device back to the system rather than the headset so you can hear people through your headphones (it may already do this automatically when it's in its docked mode though).

Ok update:

I got it playing ok so that I could talk on the mic and listen to through the headphones ok. But I recorded some in gameplay and I could only hear my team mates and not myself.

Is there any way of recording both their voices and mine during the game or is that not possible. Thanks.
