I've got a Dell U2410 and am looking to hook a PS3 up to it.

Can I simply plug the HDMI in, then stick some speakers / headphones in the 3.5mm jack on the screen? Or is it more complicated?

Thanks.

Can't you just try it and see?

If you haven't got all the bits yet let me know and i'll try it for you :)

I don't have the PS3 yet unfortunately. My sister has offered to sell me hers for a good price, so wanted to find out if it's going to work in my screen before I buy.

Thanks

Managed to test with my brother's xbox360 and it works perfectly, can't see anything being different for the PS3 :)

Do you know if the U2410 supports HDCP? I've read in a few places it doesn't, but then surely the xbox360 (2010 250GB model) uses HDCP?

Not sure about the HDCP bit but just tried connecting the PS3 up and it works fine. UC3 multiplayer is still **** though!!

Don't think that there is any volume control on the audio output of the U2410 so you will need to be able to adjust that on the headphones or speakers.
