PS3 on Virgin Media connection speed test assistance with PS3

Hi Everyone
I am looking for some help.
If you are using virgin media and have PS3 run a connection test.
I am having real issues over the last week with low speeds.
in your post if you can put speed ie 60MB service and your actual result when you carry out the PS3 connection test.
Modern warefare is unplayable and the green bars are never stable always red or amber and then green

Isn't the PS3 meant to have speed problems with virgin media anyway?

I used to get bad connections on PS3/PSN store too when I was living in Brighton and using virgin 30mb (I tried 50 but really didn't see much improvement, not enough to justify the price hike). However, it did work great on Steam and streaming Netflix; I think it was something to do with crappy server ping connections.
Since moving further North I had to swap to Sky (which use BT infinity tech) and have had no problems - not even a smidging of a bandwidth cap and the small difference in price is negligible.
I used to love Virgin but then their customer service went downhill and I started to feel as though they expected me to just be grateful for what I was getting.

I too have been suffering with bad connections on PS3 as of late as well. I'm on the 100mbit package and the latency has been atrocious to say the least. Getting shot when everything says connection interrupted isn't my idea of fun to be honest.

I usually get around 20mbps down and 4-5mbps up via the playstation speed test, but I'm sure as some other people have said in this thread that the PS3 gets traffic shaped to hell and back.

I don't play my PS3 online tbh, but as I do have one connect to Virgin I'll do this later and let you know.

I do know that the connection is pretty bad: When I stream vids on LoveFilm or need to D/L an update it's rreeeeaaaallly slooooowww.
