I can not decide what to do.

Is it worth actually getting a PS3 over a PS4?
Only thing stopping me is the Final Fantasy X and X-2 remake that is coming out, if it was on the PS4 I would have it in a heart beat....talk me in to one or the other.....go!

How likely are you to play the exclusives on the PS3? It has more than enough titles worth getting that it could actually tide you over until the FFX and X-2 remasters come out, or the PS4 drops in price. With Gaikai coming next year as well, you might very well see some of the more popular exclusives receiving backwards compatibility. Alternatively, you could get the PS4 along with a Vita, and then get FFX and X-2 HD on that if you don't want to go down the PS3 route for them alone.

Tentpole releases still scheduled for the PS3 like GTA 5 and BF 4 make what you are suggesting an attractive and viable prospect. PS4 will be new and exciting for sure, but all new platforms take at least 6 to 12 months to settle. Your call, really.

I just got a PS3 so I can play:
The Last of Us
Uncharted Trilogy
GTA5
God of War games
Metal Gear Solid games
Free ones on PS+

There are no must have games for the PS4 for the next year IMO, and whenever Gaikai eventually launches, you will have to contend with lag and lower quality visuals I think, since it has to compress the data. That's what happened with OnLive.

I'm in the same dilemma, ps3 or ps4. I'm missing out on the GTA5 bandwagon and this resulted me into seeing which launch titles will be out on PS4. A lot of the popular games will be on PS3/PS4. Gran turismo 6 will be on PS3 and GT7 on ps4. This in result has made me think that the PS4 isn't worth it until it's really matured and has a lot of new games only which are exclusive to it.

Just remember that if you buy BF4 on the PS3 you're playing the gimped version that only has 32 person multiplayer, not 64 person like the next gen versions.

I'm going to hold out for the PS4. I just can't bring myself to purchasing another PS3. I'd only end up selling it again lol.

I've never been fond of graphics, I like gameplay to be good. In this instance though I may as well wait out a couple of months to enjoy the gameplay with great graphics. I'd be interested to see how many next gen consoles do sell. I feel as if the PS3/XBOX360 still have plenty of life in them, it's obviously the graphics and some social aspects which are now bottlenecking them.

What sort of neanderthol plays FPS's on a console?!

(Possibly the wrong sub forum to make that statement....do not lynch me!)
