Defensive much? My opinion is just as valid as yours. And well done on throwing the word 'fanboy' around like a child, because I like both consoles in equal measure, believe it or not.
Im trying...but am finding it hard to believe.

I like how out of us both, you're the first to mention the 360 out of sheer insecurity.
Insecurity is calling someone a troll due to a preferred option of a lighter PS3 control pad.

I've owned a PS3 since day one (which can't be said for many people) and used the sixaxis long enough to know that it's a rarely-used feature simply because it does not add enough to the gameplay.
Pretty much every single game incorporates sixaxis and if it doesnt add to the gameplay why would it be there? I.e. Tony hawks balancing manuals, grinds etc, Ninja Gaiden ninpo power increases, R6 Vegas controll of that snake cam, or shaking yourself of fire n aliens in RFOM!:D There are plenty more examples but theyre the games ive been playing recently. Its designed for things like this where the movement/shaking of the controller is easier/more fun to do than pressing buttons. ITS NOT A Wii.

The only good example I can think of is Motorstorm, and that's only because it's an open track game where imprecise controls can have a lot of room to breathe.
Or it doesnt have to follow a linear stucture? ;) Blazing Angels is a better example than Motorstorm, the full plane control with Sixaxis is quality! Not forgetting the likes of Flow and Rub-a-dub:D (lol love that game)

As it stands, a lot of players miss the vibration feature and would drop the motion sensing feature in a heartbeat for it back.
lol

Until I get Warhawk and it proves exceptional like the previews and reviews have said, I'm standing by my belief that the sixaxis was an afterthought in response to the Wii, and not really part of Sony's long term plans for the console. There's just not enough usage out of it, and it contributes a lot to the console's already high price, something a lot of gamers and Sony themselves can do without.
See i feel this is where youre going wrong, youre thinking its trying to be a Wii but i dont think thats Sonys full intent. Could you imagine pretending to box or play golf with a PS3 pad??? As stated it just opens up more controls and adds more fun and whether you love it or hate it you can turn it off anyway.

Sorry for the long post.

I have to agree. Terrible game.

Wii Sports, though, absolutely superb and a serious contender for goty imo.

Over the weekend I got a Wii for the gfs mum - she'd been after one for ages so we all chipped in. After lots of drinks all the family got together, by now all sloshed, and frantically played Wii Sports till 2 am. Ages 20 to 60, both genders, playing and laughing in one of the most fun gaming sessions i've had in 20 years of gaming. Loads of us have probably seen the famous Nintendo kid opening an N64 for Christmas - this topped that by far. A 54 year old women ripping off the packaging and screaching Wiii!!!

I've been playing Wii Sports with friends and family since Christmas (probably about 20 Miis who play it regularly) and it's still going strong. Genius console/game.

I was under the impression that motion control was nothing more than a failry inexpensive peice of circuitboard!!! I have never heard anyone say it adds to the high cost before - thats the Cell and BD you're thinking of there I think. I bet it costs Sony less to put motion sensing in the Sixaxis than it would to put rumble back in ;)

Haven't Sony settled with Immersion to the tune of 20-odd million dollars so that they can put rumble back in the pads?

I thought Red Steel was alright, I was disappointed that the sword fighting bore no relation to the wiimote moves but quite liked the shooting and the storyline. Never finished it but it wasn't as bad as all that.

Now see Nanoman, if we both got rid of the three or four words pertaining to trolling or fanboyism, it looks like we're actually having a reasonable debate! :p
