Hi

Can someone explain to me how to set this up if they don't mind please?

Currently I have a Netgear DG834N router and my PC/PS3/360/Laptop all connected fine through TCP/IP manually on Cat5.

My transfer speeds for streaming MKVs on the fly on my PS3 through PS3MS are acceptable, I would like to setup a Gigabit LAN, I tried selecting 1000 Full Duplex on the PS3 but it failed, obviously because I'm not using Cat6?

Is this right?

PC/PS3/360/Laptop <> Cat6 <> DG834N

Do I need a Gigabit switch in there?

Also what type of Cat6 cables do I need? Crossover cable etc?

Thanks

You don't need Cat6, Cat5e is fine. I don't see any reference to the DG834N having gigabit LAN, if it's only 100mb then you'll need a gigabit switch in there.

Correct?

Netgear DG834N > Cat6 UTP patch cable > Netgear GS605UK GIGABIT 5port switch < Cat6 UTP patch cable x3 < PS3/360/PC.
