ps3 port foward question

hi

just updated my router and am wondering if i need to foward any ps3 ports? , i did have ports forwarded before i updated the routers firmware but i just went online and it seemed ok without ports forwarded and i also got nat 2 showing.

does everyone still have to port foward or is it getting better now that its not needed.

if you getting nat type 2, it should be ok

but adding ports doesn't take long if you know how to do it, it certainly won't harm your connection

beachBOYken if your router supports UPnP (which pretty much all modern ones do) then you don't need to manually forward ports in order to play PS3 online.
