PS3 PRE ORDERS

Just been to a reputable gaming store in Nottingham & they're taking PS3 pre orders - NOW!!!!
No release date or price but the £20 deposit is refundable & they ensure you a machine for launch day!

I have seen a few pre orders online previously but they were for import machines.
I just ordered anyway. I missed the boat on 360 and had to wait until early Jan. Can't be having that with PS3 as I'm a self confessed PS fanboy!

They assure me that I will get a console on release day as they are taking a limited number of orders via this method to ensure they don't exceeed projected initial allocation.
Just didn't want to get involved in the free for all that's going to occur when prices & dates are released. I know people who still haven't received pre ordered 360's and I can't imagine the PS3 will be much different due to demand!
